WWE Superstars Recap - 9/2/2009
WWE Fatheads - Smackdown on your wall
The crowd starts chanting for Bourne who is able to reverse a slam into a head scisors takedown. It is only momentarily as Bourne tries to go to the top rope but Masters catches him and hits a backbraker. Masters works on Bourne's back throughout and after the commercial break. Stomps, more working over the back, and another strong clothesline by Masters.

After a surprising roll-up attempt by Bourne, he begins to get the upperhand. Crossbody by Bourne by Bourne is reversed, Masters attempts a Masterlock but Bourne slips out and kicks him in the face. Masters attemps a shoulder charge while Bourne is in the corner but eats ring post. Bourne kicks his prone opponent in the head. It's academic from there as Bourne flew for the victory.

Winner: Evan Bourne by pinfall using the Shooting Star Press

Opinion: Masters, as expected, controlled most of the match and it was pretty decent. I wish Masters would be more charasmatic as his character is so boring. Bourne is always a joy to watch, although this match didn't allow his talents to be shown.

Match #1: Evan Bourne vs. Chris Masters

Superstars kicked off with a RAW match pitting with Evan Bourne versus Chris Masters. Why do I feel like Masters is about to bore me? Masters things off by shoving his hands into Bourne's face. Bourne tries to use to gain some control but he's grounded by a powerful clothesline. Bourne's speed and agility comes into play as he lands a springboard drop kick on Masters. The former Matt Sydal is grounded by the bigger man, Masters.

Match #2: William Regal w/ Kozlov and Ezekiel vs. Tyler Reks

ECW's contribution is next as the No.1 contender for Christian's silver belt, Regal, taking on the California surfer, Reks.
Reks tries to work on Regal's arm to begin to match and show his strength to the Blackpool native. During the match we are treated to the wonderful commentating by our teacher, Matt Striker. He, as am I, is a fan of the talented and underused Regal.

Regal is in control and focuses his attack on Reks' neck and head. Could be setting up Reks for the Regal Stretch later on? Reks is tossed outside and uses that to his advantage as Regal gets a hotshot on the top rope. Reks attempts a springboard move but Regal avoids the contact. Regal hits his knee trembler for the victory.

Winner: Regal by pinfall using knee trembler

Opinion: Not a great match as Reks is still trying to come into his own, but it was rather decent. Rather slow but you should expect that when Regal is involved. I love Regal; Reks, not so much.
Cryme Tyme vs. The Hart Dynasty
Main Event: Cryme Time and Eve Torres
vs.
The Hart Dynasty (Mixed Tag Match)

Prior to the matches we get a run-down of the matches announced thus far for the Breaking Point PPV. I'm expecting Orton and Punk to retain FYI.

The extremely over Cryme Tyme and Eve Torres are out first. Then we get to see the current pink and black attack.

Editor's Note: How often are we going to see the same two teams fight? Can we please get another team on Smackdown?
JTG and Tyson Kidd start things off but Kidd wastes no time getting David Hart Smith in the match. As expected, Smith showed his stength, while JTG showed his speed. JTG got Smith in the corner and delivered the Mug Shot before tagging in big Shad. Double Team move on Smith while he's in the New Yorkers' corner.

Natalya gets tagged in so Eve has to enter the match. Keep in mind, if Natalya is in the ring, I would run in enter it myself. The Anvil-ette in an abdominal stretch, but a few elbows gives Eve the upper hand. Arm drag and dropkick give Eve before she tags in Shad. Kidd enters and he wishes he didn't as he eats a clothesline.

Springboard move by JTG on Kidd as Shad tags in his partner. Kidd uses some ring psychology to gain the advantage by tagging in Smith. We go to commercial as JTG is now down. The Canadians take turns working over JTG and his leg. JTG makes the well-needed to Shad who comes in and cleans house. Two-count for Shad after hitting a second rope shoulder charge.

Shad hits the aptly-named (sarcasim) Thug-niciffent finisher on Smith but Natalya was able get the ttag prior. Eve automatically has to enter the ring and she builds momentum hitting a dropkick and a senton-like maneuver. She goes for the pin but Kidd comes in and drags her feet off Natalya. Shad clotheslines Kidd over the top rope for his interferance; JTG takes Smith's knees out.

Back in the ring, Eve hits another dropkick but fails as she gets to fancy trying to hit a bodysplash after a handspring. Natalya takes advantage and hits a (weak) discus-like clothesline to get the pin.

Winner: Hart Dynasty by pinfall by using clothesline

Opinion: Good match. Smackdown! always seems to deliver on Superstars. These are two good tag teams and they tend to iimpress me. The finisher on Natalya was a little weak looking but, all in all, it was a good match.
